Unit Standard Moderation - 7th May 2010

Horttraining will be attaending the Unit Standard Moderation meeting for the Waikato/Bay of Plenty, at Mount Maunganui on Friday 7th May.

Moderation is all about ensuring that providers of NZQA unit standards/qualifications are meeting their obligations with regards to valid, fair and consistent asesssment decisions. This in turn ensures that the high quality of skills and knowledge trainees working towards qualifications in the horticulture industry are maintained at a high standard.

Moderation meetings provide opportunity to meet with other tutors/trainers of horticulture to discuss teaching and assessment methods, provide feedback on assessment and to continually review and improve how we conduct training.

The moderation meetings are organised by the Horticulture Industry Training Organisation, and hosted by various training providers.
